Criteria for Design

Our mission is to connect our Newport community with the joy of learning and making music together. What do you love about NCYC? What do you love about singing? What image best represents what NCYC means to you?

Must include the text “Newport County Youth Chorus".

Can include the NCYC logo.

The design can include up to 3 ink colors (including black, white).

The designer can propose a base color for the T-shirt. Keep the NCYC logo colors in mind. https://www.customink.com/products/styles/gildan-100-cotton-t-shirt/4100

Designs can be drawn or created digitally.
Eligibility
Who Can Enter: All 2019 - 2020 NCYC participants
Contest Dates: March 20 - April 17, 2020
How winner will be selected: CCNC Advisory Board will select the winner; the board reserves the right to edit, scan, duplicate or alter the design as it sees necessary.
T-Shirt designs will be judged on:

How to Submit

All submissions due by Friday, April 17, 2020.

Email design to newportcountyyouthchorus@gmail.com with the subject line “NCYC T-shirt design contest_Chorister Name”

Design shall not exceed 8 ½” x 11” dimension

Designs will only be accepted electronically and submitted via a digital file in jpg, png, or pdf of RESOLUTION 600 dpi or higher to: newportcountyyouthchorus@gmail.com

If design is hand-drawn, it must be scanned and converted to a jpg, png, or pdf of Resolution 600 dpi or higher
-
Submission should not be in a PDF file larger than 5 MB
-
Do not throw away the original in the event that we need to re-scan it in a different format.
Prize

Winning design will be announced at the “Song Fest” concert and on social media.

Your design will be featured on 2020-2021 NCYC t-shirts worn by singers at all performances.

Winner will receive a $25 gift card to an Aquidneck Island business of his/her choice.
