"Music from Around the World" presents their music at end-of-program "sharings"

The "Music From Around the World" program teaches children in second through fourth grade about different cultures through music. This six-week program gives children a chance to experience music from South Africa, Angola and Mexico in their native languages. The students get a chance to learn about the instruments used as well. The universal language of music can help students feel more connected to cultures they might have not experienced or even known about before. In exposing them to these new languages, sounds and ideas, the students learn that everyone's experience is different, but important and valid.

The students are not only learning the languages from these wonderful countries, they are also learning about the instruments that are used in these countries.
