Liz Getts is a Salve Regina University Senior music major and is excited to be working as a Chorus Manager with Newport County Youth Chorus. Liz’s experience as a music leader began in high school when she worked with her high school choir (CT) and taught piano lessons. In her Junior year, she served as a teacher’s assistant at Rodgers High School and the Martin Luther King Community Center after school program.

In her free time, Liz enjoys taking Yoga classes on Thames Street, practicing as a competitive figure skater in the Warwick area, and writing music on piano and guitar. Her aspirations include attending graduate school, and eventually getting a PhD in music to teach future college students. She is thrilled to work with the children in Newport County Youth Chorus, and hopes we can brighten their days every day with singing.

Nicole Horsman is senior music education and vocal performance major at Salve Regina University. She is a member of University Chorus, Madrigals Choir, and one of the student leaders of the mixed voice a capella group, Mixtapes. Nicole is also the president of Salve's 2017-2018 chapter of NAfME (National Association for Music Educators), and the president of the University Chorus. She has had a passion for music since she was young and she is determined to make a career out of that passion. Nicole is currently doing her practicum placement in Jamestown, RI, which includes working with first grade and kindergarten at Melrose Elementary and the middle school chorus at The Lawn School. She hopes to encourage a love a music in the youth of today.

Zoe Michalopoulos is a Junior Vocal Performance Major and Dance Minor at Salve Regina University. Zoe started singing at age 6 and it has been her passion ever since. With her father having gone to Berklee College of Music and her mom having been a professional radio and mobile DJ for over 20 years, Zoe has always been surrounded by music. As a dancer, Zoe has studied styles of ballet, pointe, jazz, hip-hop, modern, contemporary, and lyrical, with a focus on tap at Legein Dance Academy. At Salve Regina, she has been part of the SRU Dance Club and choreographed for the Student Choreography Showcase. With her degree in music and dance, Zoe dreams of running her own performing arts studio. She plans to offer private lessons as well as group classes, and ensembles in music, theater, and dance. Other than the performing arts, Zoe enjoys running, going to the gym, painting, cooking, and most of all, making people laugh.
